Mark Connelly

Mark Connelly is Executive Vice President of Mergers & Acquisitions at Bernau Capital Partners (BCP) and one of the most seasoned operators in the rent-to-own industry. A former Marine Corps officer, he entered RTO in September 1989 as a manager trainee with Remco — and never looked back. He climbed from regional manager to divisional manager at Remco, then became VP of Operations for a ColorTyme franchise before joining Renters Choice, which acquired Rent-A-Center in 1998. As Senior VP at Rent-A-Center, he oversaw more than 300 stores. In 2003, he joined Tom Bernau's six-store Aaron's franchise, Arona Corp., helping grow it into the largest Aaron's franchise in the country. Connelly served as APRO President and earned the APRO President's Award for Excellence in 2019.
