Phil Hamer
Phil Hamer is Director of Operations for Buddy's Home Furnishings, where he has spent 24 years building a career that began behind the wheel as a delivery driver. He rose through collections, sales, and store management before moving into multi-unit leadership and now oversees the company's 33 corporate locations across Florida and Texas. Based in Ocala, Florida, Phil credits mentors like Dave Ware, Charlie Buff, and Scott Hancock with shaping his approach to the business, and he now focuses much of his energy on developing the next generation of rent-to-own talent. A vocal advocate for the industry, he has participated in APRO's Fellows program and Legislative Conference in Washington, D.C., helping lead teams of new advocates to Capitol Hill. Phil is known for emphasizing relationship-building as the foundation of successful rent-to-own operations, championing modern recruiting practices, store environment upgrades, and community-based marketing.
